BIOGRAFIE
EDUARD FREUDMANN, geb. 1979 in Wien; ist Künstler, Filmemacher und Autor, der an den Schnittstellen von Kunst und Politik, Machtbeziehungen und sozialen Kontexten, Geschichtspolitik und Medienmechanismen, Ausschlussstrategien und der Kommodifizierung von Wissen forscht und interveniert. Er studierte Kunst in Wien und Weimar und arbeitet derzeit an seiner Dissertation am Institut fur Zeitgeschichte der Universität Wien. Seit 2007unterrichtet er in der Klasse für Postkonzeptuelle Kunstpraktiken an der Akademie der bildenden Künste Wien, wo er auch an den Bildungsprotesten als Squatting Teacher teilnahm. Er ist Mitbegründer der Plattform Geschichtspolitik, einem offenen Kollektiv für Aktivist_innen und Angehörige der Akademie, das Kolonialismus, Austrofaschismus und Nazismus kritisch reflektiert und öffentlich verhandelt – ebenso die Frage, wie mit der Teilhabe von Institutionen und Einzelpersonen an diesen Prozessen umgegangen wurde und bis heute umgegangen wird.
IVANA MARJANOVIC, geb. 1979 in Belgrad, promoviert an der Akademie der bildenden Künste in Wien und unterrichtet dort als Gastdozentin in der Klasse für Postkonzeptuelle Kunstpraxis; freie Kulturproduzentin im Bereich zeitgenossischer Kunst und Theorie, Mitbegründerin der Kontekst galerija in Belgrad und Mitglied des Kontekst-Kollektivs. Veröffentlichte Aufsatze in Buchern, Kunstkatalogen und internationalen Magazinen sowie auf kunsttheoretischen Plattformen wie Reartikulacija, Mute, eipcp.net, Kulturrisse, Malmoe, etc. Sie lebt und arbeitet in Wien und Belgrad.
BIOGRAPHY
EDUARD FREUDMANN, born 1979 in Vienna. Works as an artist, film-maker and author,
who researches and is involved in the crossover between art and politics, power relations
and social contexts, history-politics and media mechanisms, strategies of exclusion and the commodification of knowledge. He studied art in Vienna and Weimar and is currently working on his PhD in the Department for Contemporary History at the University of Vienna. Since 2007 he has been teaching in the Department for Post-Conceptual Art Practices at the Academy of Fine Arts, Vienna, where he participated in the education protests as a squatting teacher. He co-founded Plattform Geschichtspolitik, an open collective of activists and Academy associates who critically reflect on and publicly deal with colonialism, (Austro-)fascism and Nazism, as well as the question of how it has been dealt with in terms of the participation of institutions and individuals in those processes until today.
